A long time ago (!) when I was in my twenties I was lucky enough to spend several years living and working in London. Italy was one of my favorite places to holiday. I was captivated by the culture, food and of course the wine.
It was the most romantic place I had ever been to and it still holds a special place in my heart. These experiences inspired this “Italian Holiday” themed wedding decor. I wanted to transformed the space into a feast in a small Italian village somewhere amongst the grapevines and olive groves.
I did this by incorporating some of the most memorable sights and scents of Italy into the decor to create the illusion of being in Tuscany. Starting with a classic navy, white and yellow color palette and including the aroma of olives and lemons at the table.
One of my favorite elements of this “Italian Holiday” inspired wedding was bringing the experience of mixing oils to the wedding. Learn how to pull together your own olive oil taste and take home bar HERE.
I also loved including fun elements reminiscent of a holiday picnic setting. From popped wine corks, a picnic basket, sunglasses to vespa keys…beep beep! I love the relaxed yet elegant vibe these elements bring to the decor.
