Earlier in the year I posted about my whimsical Gnome-Themed Easter Tree, and the DIY Gnome Ornaments I made for it. I also created some really adorable DIY Christmas Toadstool Ornaments out of plastic Easter Eggs for my tree, because you can’t have gnomes without toadstools, right? As the holidays approach I thought the toadstools would be perfect for a Christmas tree too! They are inexpensive and so easy to make in just a few steps. Read on for the details!
How to Make DIY Christmas Toadstool Ornaments
Supplies:
- Plastic Easter Eggs
- Wooden Craft Dolls
- Chalk Pen
- Bakers Twine
- White Paint
- Hot Glue
Step 1:
Paint the bodies of wooden dolls white.
Step 2:
Use chalk pen to make spots on the plastic eggs. Let dry.
Step 3:
To make ornaments or a garland, thread the egg halves onto baker’s twine. There are holes in the top of most plastic Easter eggs!
Step 4:
Glue the egg tops to the tops of the painted wooden craft dolls.
Step 5:
Hang the finished toadstool ornaments on your Christmas tree, hang the garland on a shelf or a wall, or use unstrung toadstools as decor around the house or on party tables!
