How to Throw a Wildflower Themed Bridal Shower
Tranquil Table
First, I rolled out some kraft paper to serve as a natural-toned table runner. This on a white table provided the perfect backdrop for making the colorful wildflowers pop. Next, I filled blush pink glass vases with a variety of blooms, and spread them out across the runner. On each end, I set out a painted flower bowl with some dried flower buds. Then, in the very center of the table, I placed a DIY “Wild at Heart” Table Sign that coordinated with the DIY Wildflower Coasters in my place settings. Get the instructions for how to make your own HERE.
TIP: Using a variety of shapes and sizes of vases adds interest to the table.
Pretty Place Settings
The rest of the place settings utilized gorgeous floral dinner plates and napkins, vintage white dessert plates, rose gold cutlery, and clear plastic champagne flutes. The plates were layered onto DIY Wildflower Chargers that added beauty and dimension to the settings. You can find the details for how to create them HERE.
TIP: Add coordinating kraft paper thank you notes to each setting for a personal touch, and allow guests to take home the wildflower coasters as favors. They double as photo frames!
Blooming Backdrop
Next, I created a beautiful blooming backdrop for my cake table. This whimsical and delicate backdrop is eye-catching and brings attention to the cake. This amazing dessert was decorated with edible pressed wildflowers. I set it on top of a white cake stand for some height, and wrapped the cake stand with a floral crown. The cake table was draped with flowy pink fabric, which tied in perfectly with the backdrop. Learn how to create your own blooming backdrop HERE.
TIP: Keeping the cake stand and table a crisp white ties the room together and really helps the florals pop.
Fragrant Favors
Finally, I added an area for some fragrant floral favors, and a place for guests to leave cards. I used kraft paper boxes for these, which coordinated with the table and added a natural feel to the area. I filled the boxes with dried flowers, tied them with raffia, and garnished with sprigs of lavender or green stem. A clear stand allowed me to display the favor boxes in an attractive way.
TIP: In addition to wildflowers in vases, adding some loose flowers around the table makes it feel a bit less structured, and more like a field of flowers.
