It’s felt a bit like the world needs some saving this year, doesn’t it? The truth is, we can all be superheroes in our daily lives by being kind and caring about the people and the world around us. That’s something I try to teach my kids regularly, but just in case they need a little extra help feeling like true superheroes, I styled a fun Comic Book Superhero Party, full of bold colors, fun graphics, and plenty of treats and entertainment. Need some empowering superhero party inspiration? Read on to see how I styled mine!

How to Set Up a Successful Superhero Party
Superhero Party Entrance
First, I created a show-stopping entrance with giant cardboard letter stand ups spelling out the word “Heroes”. There’s no mistaking what this party is about, with an entrance this bold! This also makes a great pre-party photo op.
TIP: If you want to use these as a photo backdrop, put these letters up in a place with enough space to where you can stand back enough, or to the side at an angle, to get all of the letters in one photo. They are pretty large!
Dessert Table and Backdrop
Next, I created a cool black graphic city skyline backdrop out of black masking tape and other simple supplies for behind my dessert table. You can get all of the details for how to create your own DIY Cityscape Backdrop HERE.
The dessert table featured amazing comic book cookies from Trophy Baking, elevated on cake and cupcake stands, and lots of superhero cups and napkins. I then added some superhero trophies as decor, spray painted to match the parties primary color scheme.
Terrific Table Setting
I used a black table with a white paper runner marked with bold black X’s down the center. More trophies and other fun favors in stands served as my centerpieces. Then, I created my own rectangular chargers for each place setting out of painted slat signs and yellow vinyl. I layered these with superhero dinner plates and dessert plates, and added fun and impressively-toned superhero drinkware as well.
