Do you know a bunch of dog lovers? Are you one yourself? Do you secretly (or openly!) know that your dog is your one true valentine? I recently found a great “My Dog is my Valentine” sweatshirt for my daughter Parker, and it inspired me to set up a party (pawty?) treat table fit for humans and dogs alike. Read on to see how I set this Puppy-Themed Valentine’s Day Treat Table up (and don’t miss the photos at the end of Parker and our sweet dog Elsa!).

1. Create your Backdrop
First, you’ll want to set the scene with a backdrop and balloons. I love Glam Fete’s fringe backdrops, and how you can get them custom-made in whatever colors you need! I hung a red, pink, and white one on my wall, and draped a couple of pink and red pom-pom and “LOVE” garlands in front of it. Then I created a small balloon garland with red, white, and pink Valentine’s Day balloons to drape in front of my Puppy-Themed Valentine’s Day Treat Table.
I finished off my balloon garland with an adorable “You’re Pawfect” puppy balloon.
2. Embellish your Table
Next, you’ll want to embellish your table with some decor. I used a brown wood farm stand as my treat table, but you can use a regular table too. Because mine is shaped a bit like a booth, I added a cute little “Kissing Booth” sign. Who doesn’t love puppy kisses?!
I also added a fluffy pink puppy and a few more pom-pom and felt heart garlands.
3. Add some Dog Treats
Then, it’s time for the treats! I started with the puppy side. After laying various on-theme fabrics around my table, I set out a variety of fun dog treats. It’s easy to create personalized treat holders (and make sure people don’t mistake dog treats for human treats…) using clear vases or jars and adding vinyl lettering with a Cricut or stickers.
I also added some heart picks to the treats for extra oomph.
It’s a great idea to offer some take-home treats as puppy favors! I added vinyl lettering to small plastic Valentine’s Day jars, and filled them with heart-shaped puppy treats.
4. Add some Human Treats
We can’t forget our human friends! On the other side of the table, I set out a jar of the quintessential Valentine’s Day treat- conversation hearts!
I used vinyl to label these as human treats, and added glittery heart picks to this jar as well.
I also added some red tootsie pops and Valentine’s themed kisses in sweet little containers, and striped Valentine’s Day napkins.
NOTE: Be sure to keep any chocolate away from your puppy friends, as it can be toxic to dogs!
5. Get some Puppy Hugs and Kisses (and take plenty of photos!)
Now for the fun part – grab your friends and their furry friends and share some treats, hugs and kisses!
You can see how I set it all up in the video below!
