How to Make DIY Toadstool Treat Containers
Supplies:
- Plastic Cordial Glasses
- Plastic Appetizer Bowls
- Chalk Pen or Paint Pen
- Gold Paper or Stickers
- Gold Washi Tape
- White Paint
- Red or Pink Paint
- Wrapped Treats
Step 1:
Paint the small appetizer bowls with your preferance of red or pink paint. I painted the inside of the bowls for a smoother look on the outside. If you are using uncovered treats and need to keep this food safe, paint the outside of the bowls. I recommend 2 coats.
Step 2:
Paint the mini cordial glasses white. Again paint on the outside if you want to use unwrapped treats inside the containers. I recommend 2 coats of paint.
Step 3:
Wrap the bottom of the container with gold (or festive) washi tape.
Step 4:
There are 2 options for creating the dots pon the toadstools. I used a paint pen for the red toadstools, randomly adding dots with no specific pattern.
Step 5:
For the pink toadstools I used gold stickers, making them slightly smaller with a whole punch. Gold paper also works, use a glue stick to adhere to the toadstool.
Step 6:
Finally, fill the glasses with treats (my kids LOVE jolly ranchers!).
Place the toadstool tops on top of the filled glasses to create the finished toadstool. They do not need to be secured when placing them at your place setting. They balance and stay in place. If transporting them, use a glue dot inside to hold the tops in place more securly.
