How to Create the Perfect Casino Night Table Setting
Casino Night Centerpiece
First, I covered the table with a glitzy gold sequined table cover. Then, I got to work setting up a centerpiece. Casinos are all about extravagance, so I wanted to make sure the centerpiece was over-the-top when it came to décor.
Luckily, I found the perfect easy centerpiece at Oriental Trading. Exploding diamonds and coins over a slot machine? Definitely casino. Jackpot! I placed it in the center of the table on top of a large cutout of a clover shape from a deck of cards.
Surrounding the base of the slot machine centerpiece, I added tons of money-related props. Bags of money, dollar sign stress balls, money notepads, dollar sign necklaces, poker chip keychains, and scratch-and-win cards! This was not the time for minimalism. We are going for full maximalism design here!
Place Settings
Next, I set up the place settings. Oriental Trading made this really easy with their line of Casino-themed tableware.
I used square black chargers to create some contrast with the bright gold tablecloth and to tie in with the clover from the centerpiece.
On top of the black chargers, I added casino-themed plates and card deck King napkins.
I decided to switch it up and have a variety of napkins for different place settings – remember, this table is all about excess! (Also, there were multiple awesome options and I couldn’t decide…). On top of the napkins, I set out gold and black plastic utensils.
Each place setting also got a wine glass and a casino-themed paper cup.
I set the clear wine glasses on top of a variety of casino chip coasters.
DIY Playing Card Place Cards
Then, I created some cute playing card place cards for each guest. I printed Ace of Diamonds playing cards on thick white cardstock and turned them on their sides. Next, I added each guest’s name in glittery gold letters.
I placed these in red dice place card holders that complemented the place cards and the rest of my Casino Night Table Setting perfectly!
Finishing Touches
Because I wanted to be extra with this table setting, I also spread more Casino decor over the rest of the table space.
My favorite had to be the scratch cards. They provide fun dinnertime entertainment, so the Casino games don’t stop! Pro tip: the dollar sign necklaces make good scratchers!
The money notepads and poker chip keychains also make great take-home favors for guests.
