How to Create a Larger-Than-Life Casino Night Photo Booth
Backdrop
I hung a themed backdrop on the wall. I love themed backdrops because they are affordable, so easy to hang, and totally transform a space in an instant. They serve as the foundation of any photobooth. This one features red and black stripes, cart suit shapes, a giant roulette wheel, and tons of gold glitz and glam. In the center, it says “casino night” in bright bold lettering- perfect for photos so everyone will know what the theme of the night was. Not that you wouldn’t be able to tell with the amazing decorations I added!
On the side walls, I hung playing card suits (or shapes) and casino-themed garlands.
Decorations
For decorations, I really wanted to go BIG. I wanted stepping into this photobooth to feel extravagant, and the huge decorations I added really make it happen. The first thing I added were giant cardboard towers of casino chips to each side of the backdrop. Setting a few on their side on top and on the floor next to the towers added some visual dimension and interest. Plus, these individual chips are great to use as props in photos (more on that later!).
Then, on each side of the photo booth area, I placed colossal cards – aces of course. Having one red (hearts) and one black (spades) brought balance to the whole Casino Night Photo Booth.
Props
Every celebration photo booth needs props. So many people don’t know what to do with their hands for photos. Photo booth props are the answer! I love to provide a vast variety so everyone finds something they feel comfortable interacting with for their photos. For some, it might be the giant poker chips.
For others, they might want to choose an easy-to-hold prop on a stick.
The bravest souls will find the most fun in the King and Queen card cutouts with places to insert their faces in place of the King’s and Queen’s!
Photo Time!
As it turns out, my family members like to use all of the above! Check out some of the hilarious and cute photos they got in the Casino Night Photo Booth I styled.
