With her eerie charm and love for the macabre, Wednesday Addams has captured the hearts of many after the Netflix show “Wednesday” renewed interest in the Addams family. I’ve been particularly inspired by the captivating character. After styling a Wednesday Addams Anti-Valentine’s Day Party this year, I decided to also set up the Perfect Wednesday Addams Halloween Party, where gloom meets glamour and the eerie ambiance reigns supreme. Read on to see how I channeled the essence of this beloved character to create an event that’s both spooky and sophisticated.

How to Set up the Perfect Wednesday Addams Halloween Party
Frightening Fringe Backdrop and Dark Dessert
First, I set up a black and white checkered fringe backdrop, bordered by a row of black blooms. I added some giant hairy spiders on top and on the dessert table in front of the backdrop.
I kept the dessert table simple, with a smattering of coordinating confetti and an ornate black placemat, on which I placed a black gothic style cake.
The cake had skill and black ribbon embellishments, and I added a couple of small spiders for fun. In front of it, I set out some black napkins that read “Be afraid. Be very afraid.”
Table Setting
On my main table, I sprinkled Wednesday-Themed confetti from FestiveFetti. This macabre mix includes cream, black and silver confetti with spider and bat sequins and large Wednesday-inspired glittered cutout shapes.
I also added white candles with black drip details on black candle stands, and a black Halloween floral arrangement in the center of the table.
Then I placed some patterned pumpkins with a black-and-white color scheme throughout.
Place Settings
The place settings consisted of spiderweb placemats, layered with black and white scalloped dinner plates and Nevermore Academy striped scalloped dessert plates. I also included the “Be Afraid” napkins with larger black and white striped napkins, black and white plastic utensils, and the cutest Wednesday cups.
A black and white striped straw was the perfect embellishment for the cups.
Then, I added some unique Wednesday Addams-inspired prop embellishments to some of the table settings. These included a coffin tray, a “Thing” hand, and a mini black cello.
With each gloomy detail, you’ll have successfully captured the essence of the iconic Wednesday Addams in your Halloween party. Here’s to the timeless allure of darkness and the joy of celebrating it in Wednesday Addams style!
