Finding out the gender of your baby, and sharing it with your loved ones, is one of the most magical moments. It deserves a magical party! And what could be more magical than a Disney-themed party? I recently created a Mickey or Minnie Gender Reveal Party for Oriental Trading that is sure to transport guests to the happiest place on earth.
A Magical Setting
There will be no doubt what this party is about when guests walk in. First, I used a split pink and blue color scheme to set the scene. I wanted to keep the party Disney chic, with a minimalistic decor style. I placed a large question mark pinata in the center of the room on top of a stand filled with pink and blue balloons to draw the eye first to what the party is all about. Will the baby be a Mickey or a Minnie? The question will be answered by the end of the party! Then, two simple stacked cakes in pink and blue with Mickey and Minnie ear toppers were placed below a DIY Mickey or Minnie Gender Reveal Backdrop. Get more details on how I created the backdrop HERE.
Mickey or Minnie?
Before sitting down to dinner, guests can make their guesses at the DIY Mickey or Minnie Gender Reveal Voting Station. This adorable station provides guests with pink or blue mouse ear pins that they can wear all evening to mark their choice. These double as take home favors at the end of the night! Find out how to make it HERE.
Guests can also find fun printable games to play while they wait for dinner (get the free printable pack HERE!), and pink and blue chocolate-dipped mouse rice cereal treat favors at this station. Oh boy! Or girl?!
Split Table Settings
Guests can also pick their side by sitting on the side of the split table that represents their gender guess! Both sides of the table featured identical decorations, but in their respective character colors. I spread pink and blue Mickey and Minnie confetti on each side of the table to serve as a table runner. Then, I created the cutest Mickey and Minnie topiary centerpieces using cups and painted foam balls.
Each place setting included clear chargers that I painted with small pink or blue brushstrokes for extra pizzazz, and pink or blue plates, napkins, and plastic cutlery. Blue bowties and pink hair bows held the napkins together with model magic Mickey or Minnie mouse heads. Finally, I added pink or blue question marks to clear wine glasses, and set out cute little pink and blue mouse ear baby bottle favors at each setting.
No matter what gender is revealed at the end of the party, this Mickey or Minnie Gender Reveal Party will make dreams come true. You can get all of the additional details and the free printable pack to create it on Fun365 at Oriental Trading. Everything you need to See It, Shop It and Make It with the click of a button! I hope you enjoy all the DIY’s and ideas as much as I enjoyed creating them.
