I smell children! EEEE! Exciting and tasty (just kidding, lol!). It’s Hocus Pocus time again, yay! I absolutely love this movie, a total cult-classic, in fact it was even named the all-time favorite Halloween movie out there. For me Hocus Pocus marks the start of every Halloween. It has also been the perfect way to introduce my kids to the fun of Halloween, casting a magical spell over them just as it did me.
This year, the 25th anniversary of running Amok, Amok, Amok, I decided it was time I threw a Hocus Pocus Halloween party. I based this Hocus Pocus party around “crafting” up a spell. A kids crafting party involving lots of fun with slime and stickers.
How to Host a Hocus Pocus Halloween Craft Party
The girls had such fun decorating witches cauldrons and filling them with purple fluffy slime potions. Get all the details HERE.
I hosted our crafting fun in front of a potion brewing fire, topping the mantel with a Sanderson broomstick backdrop and a mantel full of hocus pocus pumpkins. You’ll love these Sanderson approved DIY’s and free printable templates.
Use your bar cart as a mobile potion station. I had a lot of fun creating potion labels for these. It’s one of my first forays into printables. What do you think? Should I keep adding printables to my parties?
As an OTC blogger, I received compensation and/or products in exchange for my styling and crafting services. As always, all project ideas and any opinions expressed here are my own. For further information on our disclosure policy please check out our disclosure page.
The best bit of this was making a HUGE! batch of fluffy slime with the kids. I love getting to do something messy and satisfying like this with them. Get the recipe HERE.
I mean look at this face!! It cracks me up. We made a whole cauldron full and mixed in all sorts of fun things. I got the coveted best mom award (for that day only I’m afraid! lol).
