How to Set up a Disco Cowgirl Halloween Party
Balloon Backdrop & Skeleton Cowgirls
First, I set the scene with a lavender and black balloon garland, embellished with cow print balloons, disco ball balloons, and lavender cowgirl boot balloons (I painted these and added disco tiles to match the theme). I hung this on top of a shiny black fringe backdrop.
Then, I set up two life-sized cowgirl skeletons sitting on some hay bales. I have them wearing disco-tiled black cowgirl hats, black bandanas, and disco ball sheriff’s badges.
One of the skeletons held a “Wanted” posted that I added a cute themed photo and personalized details to.
Cowgirl Hat Table
Next to the skeletons and in front of the backdrop, I set up a table of purple cowgirl hats for the guests to wear. I added disco tile bands to these hats as well.
Each side of the table was decorated with mini hay bales, faux barbed wire, disco balls, and disco cowboy ghost figurines!
Table Setting
On the main party table, I used a hay bale to elevate a pumpkin centerpiece. I set the pumpkin on a black bandana and surrounded it with disco balls and more faux barbed wire. Finally, I added a black disco-tiled cowboy hat.
I kept the barbed wire winding fown either side of the table, and added more disco balls of varying sizes to complete the look.
Place Settings
For my Disco Cowgirl place settings, I layered lavender plates and cow print plates on top of black spiderweb placemats. Then, I added personalized black napkins that said “In our Ghosting Era, Time to Cowgirl up!”, black plastic utensils wrapped in a cow print napkin and stored in a disco-tiled holster, and a small bag of “gold nugget” bubble gum. Finally, I made DIY lavender cowgirl boot cups and cheesecloth disco cowgirl ghost place cards, and added them to the place settings.
