How to Set Up a Taylor Swift Trunk-or-Treat
Taylor Swift Trunk-or-Treat Skeletons
The first thing I did was set the Swiftie scene outside of the car with two life-sized skeletons that I decorated to represent different versions of Taylor Swift. On the first, I used a blonde wig, a microphone, some red heart glasses, and red fringe to create a glamorous concert-Taylor look. By her feet, I added a little nod to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce – a Kansas City Chiefs balloon.
On the other side of the car, I added a waving Taylor skeleton, also wearing a blonde wig. This one was dressed in the iconic “Not a lot going on at the moment” t-shirt and black hat outfit from the “22” music video, along with pink heart sunglasses. I added some pink cowgirl boot balloons next to this skeleton as a nod to Taylor’s country roots.
Friendship Bracelet and Record Garlands
Next, I decorated the exterior of the car trunk with some garlands. First, I used balloons tied together in a row to create the book of friendship bracelet beads. I added black letters to the white balloon “beads” to spell out “Spooky Era”.
Then, across the top of the trunk, I strung up a garland of faux records (I replaced the labels they came with with Taylor Swift’s album labels!). This is also where I hung some fun butterfly lights.
Eras Pumpkin Display
At the back of the trunk, I hung a colorful fringe garland to create a wall between the trunk and the rest of the car, and to serve as a backdrop for the Taylor Swift trunk-or-treat setup. Then, I added a black sequin cloth to the floor of the trunk and set up a row of painted pumpkins on dessert stands at the back of the trunk. I decorated one pumpkin for each of Taylor’s Eras albums.
Taylor Swift Treats and Trinkets
In front of the row of Eras pumpkins, I set out all of the treats and trinkets to pass out to trick-or-treaters! I set them up in a variety of containers for interest, dimension, and organization, and tried to tie all of them to the Taylor Swift theme. In one dish, I included red lip whistles and friendship bracelets.
In a boot shaped container, I added a bunch of “Taylor picked Travis” guitar picks!
I also included a bunch of cute and colorful inflatable guitars!
Finally, I made sure to have plenty of candy. In this case, I used some glamorous ring pops, and some Pop Rocks to go with the pop star theme!
This Taylor Swift Trunk-or-Treat setup is the perfect way to combine Halloween fun with your Swiftie fandom for a celebration that’s full of style, charm, and just a little bit of spookiness!

Could you perhaps let us know what size your pumpkins are, and the paint colors that you used for them? Thank you!
Natalie Mayhew says
Hi Leslie they are 5″ pumpkins, there is a link to my LTK storefront at the top of my post where you can find the exact pumpkin.
The colors I used were – I used Craft Smart brand paints from Michaels. – grape jelly for speak now, dessert sky for TS1989, apple tart for Talyor swift, pewter grey for folklore, pink chiffon for lover, and for midnights I used a to blue base with a brilliant purple sponged over the top. Red was a cherry red and I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of the brown, chocolate or something similar I believe. thanks! Nat
