This year has been tough on our traditional celebrations…keeping everyone safe during the pandemic has meant keeping our distance, which doesn’t usually scream “party”! However, it doesn’t have to mean halting celebrations altogether. We know that being outdoors is much safer than indoors. So all we need is the great outdoors and a bit of creativity! A while back, I styled this Glamping Bachelorette Party – and recently I was considering all the ways it’s kind of perfect for a safe and socially distant girls’ day or weekend celebration, whether for a bachelorette party or just a much-needed getaway. Read on to get inspired!

How to Set up a Safe and Socially Distant Glamping Bachelorette Party
Glamping Space
Glamping (glamourous camping – a luxurious style of camping) is perfect for keeping you and your girls separate but close. Whether you use teepees just for the day like I set up, or find a site that offers RVs or cabins to stay overnight, you can rest safely in your own space while knowing your friends are your neighbors!
Glamping Food – Individual Picnic Kits
Another way this setup is perfect for pandemic safety is that I created fabulous DIY Individual Picnic Kits for each person. These kits have everything each person needs for their food and drink in a cute little suitcase. From cups and plates to napkins and flatware, they’re ready to go. I then filled the bottom with individual servings of delicious picnic foods and snacks. Get all the details for how to create the picnic kits HERE.
We also had individual drink options in cans, and personal water canteens for each guest!
Table Setting
You can set up a nice table setting on milk crates (tip – use these to pack stuff in and out, and then repurpose them for table legs!) like I did, and then just take turns using the space to keep things safe. I set mine up with lots of cozy pillows and blankets, and fun lighting options for when it started to get dark. I used lanterns and DIY Tin Can Luminaries for a warm and pretty glow. Learn how to make them HERE.
Comfort & Safety Station
I also set up a DIY Glamping Comfort and Safety Station, full of everything anyone might need to have a safe and enjoyable glamping experience! Sunscreen, bug spray, deodorant, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, and so much more. Find out what else I provided and how I set it all up HERE.
