The blended beauty of an ombre look is perfect for a romantic wedding theme. The subtle transition from one color to the next creates a whimsical feel that really works for a celebration of love. While any color scheme can be chosen for this theme, I decided to style a Red and Pink Ombre Wedding. Bonus – many of these ideas could also easily be used for a beautiful ombre Valentine’s or Galentine’s party as well!
A Lovely Entrance
As guests walk in, invite them to find their seats by searching for their names on a DIY Ombre Seating Chart. This gorgeous chart is so easy to make using ribbon, gold calligraphy, and paint chips. You can find all of the details for how to create it HERE.
Romantic Backdrop
Other than the beautiful couple of course, the showstopper for this wedding will be the DIY Ombre Balloon Heart Backdrop next to the ombre cake table. Balloons in the shape of a heart transition from red to pink, and are accented by delicate floral touches throughout. Learn how to make it HERE.
Dreamy Table Settings
Flowy light pink fabric has a romantic feel, and makes a perfect table runner. In the center of my tables, I used layers of red and white acrylic paint and an array of red, pink, and white flowers to create ombre floral centerpieces. Creating the ombre look in place settings was easy using plates in various sizes and shades of red and pink. Crisp white napkins with ombre tassel rings, gold cutlery, and crystal cut and ombre-painted wine glasses completed the place settings. As a final touch, I added DIY ombre place cards and chocolate candy-filled ornaments for each guest.
Homemade Favors
Finally, when guests walk out of the room, they can stop by a favor table covered with an ombre painted concrete “Love” decoration, and pretty ombre gift bags. Inside my bags, I added various tokens of appreciation, including Homemade Raspberry and Rose Chocolate Bark. Get the recipe HERE.
It’s impossible to not feel relaxed and happy with such a pretty and smooth ombre color scheme as the theme for a wedding or party.
