Quarantine Awards - Acts of Kindness, "I Survived" & New Skills

We all deserve awards for making our way through these crazy quarantine times! As we all work to put together the pieces of this new way of living, we can also celebrate some of our achievements during quarantine and social distancing! Similar to a “most likely to” while in quarantine if you will!

These adorable, simple, and customizable DIY Post Quarantine Awards are the perfect way to show appreciation to friends and family for everything they accomplished during quarantine – no matter how small. They are also a super fun way to catch up and find out how everyone made it through quarantine

From a series of “I Survived” awards (online learning, my husbands cooking!) to acts of kindness, new skills and unexpected quarantine activities like “Best Bread” or “Best Home Haircut”. There is no end to the things we’ve all learnt to do or survived while locked up at home and it’s sure to get the conversation going and help guests laugh a bit.

Step 1 –

First, paint the DIY Ceramic Trophies in your choice of colors with acrylic craft paint.

Step 2 –

Next, once the paint is dry, use colored sharpies, stickers, or machine-cut vinyl lettering to add the words “Quarantine Awards 2020” to the cup portion of the painted trophies.

Step 3 –

Then, use the same or coordinating colors of acrylic craft paint to paint the surface of various puzzle pieces. These puzzle pieces represent both the symbolic “putting together” the pieces of our lives as well as the literal number of puzzles we probably completed while in lock down!

Step 4 –

Next, once the painted puzzle pieces are dry, use mini glue dots to adhere two of them to the bottom plaque portion of the trophies.

Step 5 –

Finally, fill the trophies with tokens of appreciation (kindness tokens!).

If you are presenting these at a socially distanced party, place the finished awards on toilet paper roll stands to create a multi-level display and reflect on the past months with a little humor.
