How to Set up the Perfect Pokémon Birthday Party for Kids
Balloon Backdrop & Dessert Table
First, I created a striped balloon backdrop in the party’s color scheme, and hung a “Happy Birthday” Poké Ball banner in the center of it. On each side, I added Pikachu wall decals.
In front of the backdrop, I set up the dessert table. I used a plain white table with black and white grid paper in the center.
In the center of the table, I set up a simple white cake with a Poké Ball topper on a red cake stand.
I also added two smaller black dessert stands with cupcakes that I added Pokémon character toppers to.
Then, on either side of the desserts, I set up Pokémon decorations and trading cards.
Finally, I placed Pókemon dessert plates and napkins on the dessert table.
Table Setting
I used a larger white table for the main Pókemon birthday party table, and used the grid paper as a table runner.
Then, I created adorable DIY Poké Ball centerpieces using Poké Ball treat buckets, faux florals, and fuzzy Pikachu ears! I elevated these on small black stands to make them pop a bit more on my table. You can get all the supplies you need to create these HERE.
Place Settings
I used the fun Pokémon tableware collection from Oriental Trading Co. to create my place settings. Underneath the dinner plate, I added a pop of color with a red charger plate. Then, I placed a Pokémon napkin, red plastic utensils, and both a Pokémon paper cup and a Poké Ball tumbler at each place setting. Finally, I added some fun favors – Pikachu pez dispensers and Pokémon wristbands.
Favor Station
I love sending guests home with lots of favors, so for this Pokémon birthday party, I set up a favor station on a rolling cart. For decorations, I used the cardboard table stands, Poké Ball paper lamps, and white balloons. Then I added Pokémon cups full of a variety of themed candy and trinkets for guests to take home. I also included Poké Ball stickers.
And there you have it – an epic Pokémon birthday party! With these elements in place, your celebration is sure to be a hit. Don’t forget to get the supplies you need by visiting my LTK posts HERE and HERE.
I hope you and your little trainers have an amazing time catching ’em all and making memories that will last a lifetime!
