Many adults (including myself!) love the guts and gore of anything zombie-related. Kids, however, might find the scariness of a full-on Walking Dead-style party to be a bit too intense, so I set out to create a zombified party that included all of the undead details, but with a lighter and sillier twist to make it more playful for kids.

To decorate for this kid-friendly zombie party, I still wanted to use the types of gross and gory decor that even kids will find fascinating and fun- things like a fake blood-stained table runner, skull-shaped cups, eyeball and brain splat balls, zombie finger-shaped bubble bottles, and gummy zombie boogers! To keep things lighter and less scary, however, I also included silly and fun elements such as a cute plush zombie garland, googly-eyed pumpkins, goofy glasses for each kid to wear, and a tasty sprinkle “cure” in test tubes to keep everyone safe from the effects of any zombie bites.

This Graveyard Backdrop is the perfect combination of silly and spooky- and is so easy to make! Learn how HERE.

This party isn’t just about the decor, though…I made sure to include lots of activities to keep kids of any age entertained. When they aren’t munching on candy body parts, little guys, gals, and even ghouls will enjoy decorating pumpkins and zombies with various art and craft supplies- including edible ones! You can find a free zombie cookie-decorating station printable HERE

Guests will also love playing this suspenseful DIY Zombie “Bite or Cure” Party Game. They will choose a circle, punch through the tissue paper, and either find a toy zombie or a gummy cure on the other side! Either way, they are sure to have fun and enjoy what they find. Find out how to make this game HERE.

For more prize fun, you can set up your very own Zombie Prize Station. Using clothespins and string, you can create a lively (or perhaps in this case, un-lively…)  display of zombie party favors that kids can win by participating in various activities and collecting points. Get the details on how to make it HERE.

This scary-yet-sweet Kids’ Halloween Zombie Party is sure to be a hit with all of the kids in your life. You can get all the details to create it on Fun365 at Oriental Trading.
