When it comes to Christmas, you can’t go wrong with a traditional red and green color palette. But if you’re like me, and like breaking tradition a bit from time to time, why not change things up and go with an elegant navy and gold color combo this year? This unique holiday style feels modern and fresh, but still somehow classic and timeless. Read on to see how I set it all up!

Navy and Gold Holiday Dinner Party Table
I started by draping my table with a luxurious navy table tablecloth. Then, I created an elegant holiday house centerpiece, painted navy and gold. On each side of the centerpiece, I placed navy and gold nutcrackers, and a variety of navy and gold ornaments and jingle bells. These, along with a eucalyptus garland on each side, created my table runner. A couple of wreathed candle holders were placed at each end of the table to provide a warm glow for dinner.
Place Settings
Next, I set out gold dinner plates, and layered them with two sizes of gold-petal-edged navy plates. The unique edges of these plates added to the elegant look of the place settings! Then, I added matching gold-striped navy paper cups, clear plastic wine glasses, gold cutlery, and a navy napkin to each setting. For an extra special holiday touch, I finished the place settings off with a navy and gold “Believe” paper fan.
I also wanted to provide guests with a pretty keepsake from the party – and what better holiday keepsake than an ornament they can hang every holiday season? You can find out how I created these Navy and Gold Nutcracker Wreath Ornaments HERE.
Bar Cart
Finally, I set up a navy and gold holiday bar cart to hold more themed decor and to serve as a backdrop for my dining table. I draped it with more navy fabric, and then covered the top and bottom with more holiday houses, candles, ornaments, and other decorations. Above it, I hung a collage of gold paper fans and a navy diamond garland, creating a stunning backdrop!

The navy and gold combo is such a classic elegant color palette but I love how you brought in the house and eucalyptus and the cool textures on the bar cart to keep it fresh and modern feeling. The nutcrackers are a darling favor idea. I’d love to add one of those little guys to my tree!
