Do you know a free spirited but elegant bride? Honor her chic yet wild nature by throwing her a shower inspired by the untamed grasslands of the prairie. With a warm and earthy color scheme and plenty of organic decor, this theme is both beautiful and romantic. Here is how I created the look!
Earthy Table
I began by draping the natural wood grain table with a soft blush table runner. The sheer fabric had the perfect flow for a bohemian vibe. You could just picture it blowing in the prairie breeze! Then, I set out wood grain table numbers in the center. To create more of a centerpiece feel, I added pampas grass and cotton to the base of the table number. Additionally, I used copper toned vases with dried grasses in them and candle holders to bring even more warmth and prairie appeal to the table. These are simple and so cost effective!
Then, above the table, I hung an elegant DIY Pampas Grass Chandelier above the table. This easy and budget-friendly chandelier is layered with other organic elements that combine to create a stunning piece of decor. Get the details for how to create it HERE.
TIP: Use a clear acrylic stand to hold the table numbers, or prop them up against one of the vases!
Prairie Place Settings
Next, I set out rose gold chargers at each place. I then layered on clear and blush dinner plates, with a wooden appetizer plate on top that perfectly complemented the table number signs. Rose gold flatware and dotted napkins added to the warmth of the settings. I used clear wine glasses and copper stemmed champagne flutes. For the final prairie touch, I put a sprig of pampas grass and some cotton in the middle of each place setting.
TIP: Tuck the napkins into the layered plates for a unique place setting look.
Bohemian Bar Cart
After the place settings, I set up my bar area. On a modern clear and gold bar cart, I set out a chic faux marble serving board with champagne flutes. Then, for decor, I added a wood grain sign inviting guests to “Have a Drink on Us” behind the serving board. On the other side, I placed more pampas grass in wooden and geometric copper vases, along with another rose gold votive candle holder.
The bottom level of the bar cart held the champagne, copper mugs on another faux marble serving board, and more dotted napkins. I added one more wooden candle, and a long sprig of pampas grass in the back for decor.
TIP: Use small stems of pampas grass for decorative drink stirrers!
