If you were to walk into my house you’d find elements of industrial style everywhere. It has long been a favorite, the beautiful blend of styles, infusing vintage and rustic with modern is so eye-catching and interesting.
Industrial style is now becoming one of the hottest wedding trends, as is getting married in industrial venues. For this wedding I found a fabulous industrial venue in McMinnville, Oregon called The Bindery. The owners of this relatively new venue are amazing, so friendly and accomodating. I fell in love with the rough brick walls, industrial lights and large windows, they are stunning – combined with greenery, flowers, wood and copper the whole aesthetic leaves a lasting impression.
I used a minimalist copper pipe altar with modern geometric and acrylic accents, get all the styling tips HERE. The transparency keeps the focus on the industrial elements. This eye-catching, yet understated effect lets the wedding and happy couple take the spotlight. I love the this new trend! What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
Throughout the venue I softened the harder edges with romantic blush tones and incorporated glamorous sequins. I love the contrast this provides, one of the key elements of industrial styling.
My favorite detail in this industrial glam wedding was the petal toss station. I used organic kraft paper cones with personalized instructions for the guests. “TOSS” petals at the bride and groom and “CHEER” after they “KISS”! It is an eco-friendly, fragrant and fun natural alternative to throwing confetti at the end of the ceremony and is completely biodegradable.
