How to Set up a Celestial Halloween Mantel
Backdrop
First, I hung some star-shaped glass ornaments from the ceiling above my mantel to set the celestial scene.
I also added some gold star stickers to the wall behind the hanging ornaments.
Then, in the middle of the wall above the mantel, I added a spooky-yet-elegant crescent moon-shaped skeleton and floral wreath.
On the Mantel
On the mantel itself, directly underneath the moon wreath, I set up a variety of black and white pumpkins and an assortment of shiny silver disco balls. I used black, gold, and white moon and star stickers to decorate some of the pumpkins.
Next to this assortment of starry pumpkins, I placed some gold candlesticks with white candles in them, and added metallic gold cutouts to the fronts of each. I also used a gold metal starburst decoration I already had in my home to add to the celestial look of this side of the mantel.
On the other side, I placed a gold-framed foggy landscape painting, to which I added a metallic gold crescent moon sticker. In front of the painting, I added a “Halloween” sign, with a full moon for the “o” in Halloween.
Next, on each end of the mantel, I set up more decorated pumpkins and disco balls, elevating some of the pumpkins on larger black candlesticks for more dimension. I also included a little black cauldron decoration to one side.
Underneath the mantel, I hung gold and silver fringe garlands at varying angles, and topped them with a gold star garland.
Fireplace
I decided to use the inside of my fireplace for some extra cosmic cauldron decorations. In order to have the cauldrons pop inside of the dark background of the fireplace, I decided to paint my black cauldrons ivory, and decorated them with black and gold stars and moons. I surrounded the bases of the cauldrons with black fabric embellished with gold stars.
Inside the smallest cauldron, I added disco balls and creepy eye decorations. The largest cauldron in the middle was filled with skulls. In the medium-sized cauldron, I added a variety of ivory, cream, and beige pampas grasses.
With the celestial Halloween mantel complete, it’s time to enjoy the enchanting atmosphere you’ve created, perfect for a spooky yet stylish celebration!
