How to Set up a Grinch Hot Cocoa Bar
Decorations
First, I wanted to set the scene with Whoville- and Grinch-themed decorations. I used my bar cart in a corner of the room to set up the Grinch hot cocoa bar. On one side of the bar cart, I set up a large Whoville Christmas tree cardboard stand.
Then, above the bar cart, I added a “Merry Grinchmas” wreath and a fun “Days to Christmas” countdown sign that features the Grinch’s hand holding a chalkboard ornament you can erase and rewrite on as you get closer to the big day.
On the wall next to the hot cocoa bar, I set up a bench area for some additional desserts and treats. Above this, I hung a “Merry Grinchmas” banner.
To decorate the bench itself, I added a variety of red and green Christmas tree ornaments and a Grinch centerpiece set.

On the top shelf, I used a red cake stand to elevate a ceramic Grinch candy jar centerpiece. Then, on either side of that, I set up glass jars of large and mini marshmallows. I added multiple kinds of candy canes as well to use as cocoa stir sticks. I also included caramel and dark chocolate sauces to drizzle on the warm drinks, and a bowl of Chritmas sprinkles for a bit more festive hot cocoa flair. In front of all of the toppings, I added the cutest little whimsical Christmas tree mugs, some Grinch-themed beverage napkins, and a few mini red disco balls for decoration.
On the bottom shelf of the bar cart, I used one of the table centerpiece as a backdrop for a plate of sweet marshmallow and peppermint treats. These included three little hearts to represent the Grinch’s heart growing three sizes by the end of his tale! I also included some Grinchy to-go cups for coco on the go. On the other side, I added some “Merry Grinchmas” treat containers for sweets on the go. Finally, I added some personalized Grinch-themed chocolate bars and a jar of Grinch-themed chocolates.
More Sweet Treats
In the sweets area, I placed a Grinch hand holding an ornament dessert stand full of yummy cupcakes. I topped these with red and green sprinkles and gumdrop hearts. Next to it, I added bowls of red and green peppermints.
The final touch was a cup of heart-shaped lollipops.
With this Grinch Hot Cocoa Bar, you’ll spread some mischievous holiday cheer and create sweet memories that will warm every heart—big or small!
